A great way to learn about a state is to listen to the travels of residents, and podcasts are a popular method to pass along some of those stories of travel!

Searching for information about Virginia and using the Multimedia Refinement Menu with the Podcast selection can lead you to fantastic resources. For example, check out today’s Site of the Day, featuring the the Virginia Trekkers!  Travel with this group of hardy teachers as they trek around the beautiful State of Virginia. Virtually visit areas of geological and historical significance across the five regions: Appalachian Plateau, Valley and Ridge, Blue Ridge Mountains, Piedmont Region, and the Coastal Plain Region. Rely on the Trekkers to point out interesting features and facts in their signature enthusiastic way! Information is predicated on Virginia State Standards. Activities and games accompany these podcasts.
