Common Sense Media: Research and Information Fluency
These free K-12 non-sequential lesson plans and student activity sheets from CyberSmart! engage students in making good search decisions and in evaluating the resources they encounter online. Home connections to inform families are also included. Standards-based lesson topics include searching, evaluating web sites, using online resources for homework help and using the library. Additional educator-evaluated sites are provided to support lesson context. Some lessons require an Internet connection. These plans primarily target grades 2-8. Lessons include an overview, objectives, technology standards, instruction plan, and assessment options.
