Danielle Abernethy
Danielle Abernethy began her teaching career in 1996 as a fifth grade teacher in Lake City, SC. Three years later she moved to Sumter, SC to teach middle school business, and then to take on the role of a Technology Coach at the district level for 8 schools. Now she is a Customer Relations Specialist and netTrekker trainer, living in Florida. She was named an Inspired Learner three times from Inspiration, an Innovative Educator from Tech4Learning, and 2005 Best of the Best Workshop Presenter from NECC. She has presented workshops in Tools 4 Teachers and Digital Storytelling at NECC, FETC and SC EDTech. Danielle earned her Bachelors Degree in Education from Francis Marion University and her Masters Degree in Technology in Education from Lesley University. Danielle will be sharing ideas on how to use netTrekker in the classroom.

Kirsty Wertz
As Vice President of Marketing for netTrekker, Kirsty is responsible for setting the marketing strategy for the company—managing the brand portfolio, collecting and internalizing market insights and feedback, partnering with product and sales teams to bring opportunities to life, and guiding netTrekker efforts to bring the industry’s best solutions to the education market in an effective and responsible manner.
Prior to netTrekker, Wertz spent time in the advertising industry in Australia and then as Public Affairs Officer at the Australian Kidney Foundation. After moving to the United States in 1999, Wertz consulted with small businesses and then spent more than 6 years with Reynolds and Reynolds in a variety of marketing roles, the most recent as Director of Marketing Communications for the global automotive dealer management solution provider. Following her stint at Reynolds she spent two years with GE Money Sales Finance, a division of General Electric Company where she led the B2B Marketing Center of Excellence which served to share best practices and improve the effectiveness of business-to-business marketing efforts.
Kirsty Wertz holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia. She lives on a Christmas Tree Farm in Franklin Township, Ohio with her husband and two sons.

Laura started her career at netTrekker over six years ago and has had the pleasure and privilege of being part of the exciting evolution that has taken place during that time, both within the educational technology world, and at netTrekker. As the Brand Marketing Manager, Laura is responsible for the positioning and messaging around the netTrekker brand. One of the most important parts of Laura’s job is to help our customers, our partners, and the education industry in general understand the many ways that netTrekker can help teachers and students in today’s 21st century classrooms.
Prior to netTrekker, Laura worked as an Operations Manager for Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Wilmington College and lives in a suburb of Cincinnati with her husband and two children.
