Tribute WTC Visitor Center: September 11: Personal Stories of Transformation

In a website designed for use by students and teachers in grades five through twelve, eight people who were directly affected by the attacks on September 11, 2001 tell their stories of how the events of that day changed their lives. Each of their videos is accompanied by an activity to help students connect and reflect on the tragedy and a brief biography of the speaker, as well as a timeline, a list of further resources, and suggestions for service projects. The site also provides a guide to the material, and some thoughts about how to address this sensitive subject in the classroom.
