Wonderville: Photosynthesis

Here’s a great explanation of photosynthesis complete with interactivity to keep your students engaged. Watch a short video showing what is necessary for photosynthesis to happen, and what products result from it.  Show what was learned by moving the components of photosynthesis to the right place around the growing plant. Find out the photosynthesis equation, look at a leaf microscopically, label the parts of the leaf involved in photosynthesis, and finally, adjust what a plant needs to grow well, and help it bloom. This is a great review for grades 4-6.photosynthesishttp://www.wonderville.ca/asset/photosynthesis

Inner Body: Digestive System

Find out whatever you need to know about the digestive system with this interactive site from Inner Body. The general parts of the digestive system are listed and when you highlight one of the parts of the system on the list, you will find a tiny, spinning square on the digestive system, showing where that part is located. Clicking on the square will identify the part and show a magnifying glass. By clicking on that you go to a large diagram of the part, a list of parts of that part, and you can continue clicking to find more and more diagrams. A description of each part of the digestive system is also given. You could spend hours just examining the stomach. This is a great interactive, informative site for upper elementary through high school.digestive systemhttp://www.innerbody.com/image/digeov.html
